Acclaimed Japanese designer, quilter, author, and teacher Yoko Saito is known around the world for her ingenious use of taupe color palettes. In this book, she uses fabric and design to create exquisite works of art. She offers 29 projects, from pouches and bags to wall quilts and a cushion cover; she also shares her three-dimensional technique for making flower petals.

Celebrated Japanese quilt artist Yoko Saito is well-known for her detailed work and unique use of taupe color palettes. She learned to quilt after seeing antique quilts in America and has been inspired over the years to create her own style and designs. A prolific author of quilt books, she also designs fabric and her patterns are often seen in Japanese quilt and crafting magazines. In addition, she appears in various media, and has had her own television series called Fashion Workshop, broadcast by NHK TV. She serves as an instructor at the NHK Culture Center, Nihon Vogue Gakuen, and is a member of the Japan Needlework Exhibit. She currently owns and runs a quilt shop and school called Quilt Party in Chiba Prefecture, just outside of Tokyo.
