Yoko Saito, a prominent quilt artist in Japan, is known for her exquisite designs and ingenious use of "taupe color." In Strolling Along Paths of Green, Ms. Saito finds beauty in the most common trees and plants and interprets them in quilt projects in such a way that is uniquely charming. She offers 33 different projects, including 2 quilts made up of plants seen through the four seasons, pouches and many kinds of bags. (pattern sheets included)

Celebrated Japanese quilt artist Yoko Saito is well-known for her detailed work and unique use of taupe color palettes. She learned to quilt after seeing antique quilts in America and has been inspired over the years to create her own style and designs. A prolific author of quilt books, she also designs fabric and her patterns are often seen in Japanese quilt and crafting magazines. In addition, she appears in various media, and has had her own television series called Fashion Workshop, broadcast by NHK TV. She serves as an instructor at the NHK Culture Center, Nihon Vogue Gakuen, and is a member of the Japan Needlework Exhibit. She currently owns and runs a quilt shop and school called Quilt Party in Chiba Prefecture, just outside of Tokyo.
